Tecon’s lighting solutions illuminate Dubai’s newly opened night swimming beaches

The beaches, spanning 800 meters each, are thoughtfully equipped with lighting infrastructure, ensuring optimal visibility for all night swimmers.

Dubai has opened three new beaches for night swimming; specifically in Jumeirah 2, Jumeirah 3 and Umm Suqeim 1, expanding the city’s beach tourism offerings.

These beaches, spanning 800 meters each, are thoughtfully equipped with lighting infrastructure, ensuring optimal visibility for all night swimmers. Night swimming timings start from sunset to sunrise every day.

Moreover, these beaches will be equipped with systems and electronic screens aimed at displaying content designed to enhance safety awareness among beachgoers.

Tecon has played a pivotal role in bringing the design and supply of lighting solutions for this project to fruition.

With a reputation for exceptional service, safety, and quality, Tecon has achieved remarkable growth and is currently one of the region’s most respected solution providers in the realm of electrical and engineering equipment.

Beach development plan

According to Dubai Municipality, the new night-swimming beaches are part of the city’s efforts to make the emirate the world’s best place to live and visit. The initiative forms part of the municipality’s beach development plan to provide distinctive experiences for residents and tourists.

The government has also developed unique facilities to improve beachgoers’ experience, each offering a range of activities, including vibrant seaside dining.

Safety

To enhance safety, Dubai Municipality recommends that beachgoers engage in night swimming only in designated zones and avoid going into the sea from other areas.

The swimmers are also looked after by qualified lifeguards equipped with rescue and emergency devices to make sure that everyone swimming at night is completely safe.

The Municipality also emphasised the importance of safety awareness, compliance with beach rules and regulations, constant monitoring of children and following the lifeguards’ instructions.
